Chennault May Miss Season, Redshirt

Jan 18, 2011 3:33 PM

There is a possibility that Wake Forest guard Tony Chennault will miss the remainder of the season and redshirt.

Chennault recently returned to practice for the first time since breaking his foot in the second half of Wake Forest's season opener against Stetson.

“His foot is getting stronger every day,” coach Jeff Bzdelik said. “But at the same time we have to remember that (Monday) will be the third complete practice only of the year for him, so he has a lot of catching up to do from a conditioning standpoint and his knowledge of what we’re doing before he might be ready to play.”

Bzedlik said Chennault’s situation is a day-to-day proposition.

He is a 6-foot-6, 210-pound forward out of Tarboro, N.C. that is currently playing for Edgecombe Magnet High School.

Harrell is a member of the Class of 2012.

Tough Road Ahead For Wake Forest

Jan 7, 2011 11:59 AM

Wake Forest has struggled mightily this season and things are about to get tougher as they resume play in the ACC.

"We're looking forward to it," coach Jeff Bzdelik said. "It's an opportunity to test where we are in terms of our development and improve as a basketball team."

C.J. Harris, a sophomore point guard, is the only player on Wake Forest's roster to have started an ACC game.

"All these players came here to play in the ACC," Bzdelik said. "The moment has arrived."
